Israeli gunboats open fire along Gaza coast, no injuries

Gaza, April 5, 2009 (Ramattan) – The Israeli navy opened fire on Sunday at the Palestinian fishermen along the shore of Gaza in the western Gaza Strip, Palestinian security sources said.

According to the sources, the Israeli gunboats targeted the fishermen and their boats west of Gaza near the city of Gaza, no casualties or damages were reported.

Two days ago, The Israeli navy wounded a Palestinian fisherman south of Gaza Strip near the city of Rafah.

After the Israel's 23-day offensive on Gaza three months ago, the Israeli navy frequently targets the Palestinian fishermen along the coast of Gaza.
